Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Milan ready for an other year together

Everything points towards Zlatan Ibrahimovic renewing his contract and staying another year, according to a report.

This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) takes stock of the situation, acknowledging that Zlatan Ibrahimovic contract expires at the end of the season and so assessments must be made at some point.

“Renewal? He told us it will depend on his body, if he continues like this I don’t see why he can’t be with us again next year,” Paolo Maldini said.

It is certainly not a surprise that he has opened the door to Ibrahimovic’s stay next season because the club trust their leader and are ready to offer him a new deal.

The paper adds how despite being 39, Ibrahimovic is also at the top from an athletic point of view having shrugged off his muscle injuries and intends to continue being a leader. He has a target that makes his desire to move forward even stronger: to bring Milan back to the Champions League and play among the elite in Europe again.

At the end of the season Ibrahimovic and will discuss a renewal, but it is hard to imagine he will get the €7million net he earns now, as Zlatan will be almost 41 by the end of next season. An agreement could be found with bonuses though, as there ‘are all the conditions to continue together’.

He have been vital to AC Milan this year with his 14 league goals this season and also with his impact on the dressing room.

Milan and Ibrahimovic looks like are the perfect combination as Milan dreams to repeat the 2010-2011 season when they were crown champions of Serie A league
