Chelsea allowed Fikayo Tomori to sign for AC Milan on loan to continue his development but the centre-back has gone on to wow coaches at the club and they are keen on a permanent transfer
Chelsea could use Fikayo Tomori as part of a deal to land AC Milan star Franck Kessie – who Thomas Tuchel dreams of signing.
The defender is currently on loan at the San Siro after falling out of favour under Frank Lampard this season.
With the Blues legend now sacked and Tuchel in, the German was not given a chance to see Tomori in action.
Tuchel has given everyone a clean slate at Stamford Bridge, including the likes of Antonio Rudiger, Marcos Alonso and Kepa Arrizabalaga – who have all come in from the wilderness.
Tomori has only been at Milan for a few weeks but coaches have been blown away by his defensive capabilities.
There is a clause that would make the loan permanent, worth around £24m.
But it would require the England international to agree to a contract with Il Rossoneri – though if Tuchel gets his way, he may end up staying.
That is because the former Paris St-Germain manager is desperate to sign Milan midfielder Kessie, according to Il Milanista.
The report states that the 47-year-old ‘dreams’ of signing the Ivory Coast international.
Kessie has been in incredible form for Milan this season under Stefano Pioli and is one of the reasons for their fine performances in Serie A.
