Even with absolute world class clubs, something goes wrong sometimes. Real Madrid can just sing a song about that right now.
According to “Corriere dello Sport”, Los Blancos, actually doesn’t have a coach right now!
According to a report in the Italian newspaper, Carlo Ancelotti’s coaching license expired on December 31, 2021. In order to be able to continue coaching his team, he would now have to complete further training courses. Pretty embarrassing for Real and their star coach – and a good template for some laughs in Spain.
As the “Corriere dello Sport” further reports, the Spanish association RFE is currently working on a solution in consultation with Uefa. One variant would be, for example, an online course for the Italian successful coach.
Italy up in arms about Ancelotti UEFA obstacle
In Italy, the news has been met with a mixture of surprise and exasperation, with several observers expressing their indignation that a coach of Ancelotti’s stature, who has overseen over 1,200 top-level games at clubs including Real Madrid, AC Milan, Juventus, PSG, Bayern, Chelsea and Everton, was not given dispensation to complete the course in Spain. One of the most critical was journalist and author Alessandro Alciatto, who vented his feelings on social media.
