Steven Gerrard and his squad could officially take the crown on the turf of their bitter rivals next month.
Rangers could win the title at Parkhead on March 21 as Celtic’s nightmare 10 In A Row scenario becomes ever more of a reality.
The Premiership champions came from behind to secure a 2-1 victory at St Johnstone, with Odsonne Edouard’s double making it four wins on the spin.
The result may have a sting in the tail though as, with an 18 point gap it means the title could be decided in the third derby of the season.
With 10 games remaining Celtic are on 61 points, and it doesn’t take a mathematical genius to work out their maximum possible total is 91.
With Rangers on 79 they need 12 points, or four wins to match that total.
But after fixtures against Dundee United, Livingston and St Mirren they meet Celtic on their own patch.
So if Rangers and Celtic win they upcoming three games the title may be decided at Celtic Park.
