Andreas Skov Olsen resurfaces in Rangers transfer link as Ibrox side ‘make enquiry’ for Bologna winger
The Denmark winger is said to be on the chopping block at the Serie A club and Rangers could take advantage.
Rangers are one of three clubs named as potential destinations for Bologna winger Andreas Skov Olsen in January in an Italian report.
The 21-year-old has struggled to adapt since arriving in Serie A as a teenager in 2019.
He’s managed 66 appearances for Bologna but most have been from the bench.
Newspaper Il Resto de Carlino, one of the oldest in Italy, say that he is growing frustrated and a recent poor display against Torino could be his “last straw.”
They say that Rangers – along with Besiktas and Real Sociedad – have made “requests for information” about his availability.
And it’s said Gio van Bronckhorst ‘s team could take advantage of his game-time frustrations by offering him a route out in January.
Skov Olsen was once one of Danish football’s brightest prospects with a 26-goal season in 2018/19 earning him his move to Italy.
But it hasn’t been a smooth transition with most of his best football in that time coming for his country and he was linked with an Ibrox move in the extended window of summer 2020.
All interested parties found Bologna’s resolve tough but after over a year of Olsen failing to make his mark this coming window could be when they reconsider.
Skov Olsen’s contract runs until 2024 but it’s believed Bologna are open to letting him leave.
