Milan are closing in on their second signing in this transfer window. After announcing the arrival of Soualiho Meite from Torino last night, the Rossoneri are now working very hard to secure Fikayo Tomori for the defence.
According to Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, the defender is very close to joining the San Siro side. The negotiations between Milan and Chelsea are at an advanced stage and just a few details remain to close the deal.
Tomori is expected to arrive in Italy early next week, perhaps after the Rossoneri’s clash against Cagliari on Monday. With a tight schedule and several injuries, the addition of the defender will be very important in the Scudetto quest.
It remains to be seen what the price tag of the buy-out option will be, as the formula is set to be a loan with an option to buy. Either way, Milan have moved fast after their initial target Mohamed Simakan got injured.
