Leicester City could dip into the January transfer window when it opens on Saturday.
Leicester have had to deal with many injuries and with many Covid cases
Rodgers may look to strengthen his side and add a couple of extra bodies but the January window is likely to be a quieter one for most clubs because of the risk of further Covid-19 infections.
City have not historically been big spenders in January but Rodgers can add some more quality to his side when the winter window opens.
City have been given the green light to seal a free transfer for Denis Zakaria.
Borussia Monchengladbach confirmed the Switzerland international will depart the club at the end of his contract in the summer.
Zakaria, who has been linked with a move to Manchester City and Liverpool, will be available for free in the summer and Premier League clubs can agree a pre-contract deal next month.
“Zakaria has informed the club of his intention to leave in the summer after five years at Gladbach,” a statement read yesterday.
