Spurs board identify the ‘new Luka Modric’
Tottenham have reportedly identified Lovro Majer as their next signing – and are in pole position to secure the signature.
The 23-year-old has made an impressive start in Ligue 1 with Rennes after joining this summer, with a host of clubs said to be monitoring his performances.
Conte is said to be looking to bring in a creative midfielder and according to a report cited by FourFourTwo, Spurs are said to be ahead of Manchester United and Bayern Munich in acquiring the services of Majer – who has been dubbed the new Luka Modric.
Majer cost Rennes just over £10million earlier this summer, but could cost Spurs triple that, if they’re to make a move for the Croat in January.
Tottenham’s classy gesture to fans
Tottenham are offering fans free coach travel for their rearranged Premier League fixture with Burnley, the north London club have confirmed.
