Why Mbappé doesn’t want to speak to Real Madrid

Paris Saint-Germain continues to dominate French football. The last win was against the current Champion OSC Lille. It was a clinical performance from PSG as they needed this victory following their French Cup exit. They had lost to Nice on penalties (Round of 16). With this win, they have also warmed up for their upcoming high voltage encounter against Real Madrid later this month in the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League. Meanwhile, Lille continued their disastrous Ligue 1 run.

Kylian Mbappé was one of the goalscorers in the runaway victory. The 2018 world champion scored the goal to make it 5-1. After the game, Mbappé spoke about his future. A move by the Frenchman to Real Madrid in the summer is practically certain. However, the PSG star denies this: “No, my decision about the future has not yet been made.”

Next week PSG have to face Real Madrid in the last 16 of the Champions League. For Mbappé, these games have priority over a possible transfer to Los Blancos.
The PSG star: “Playing against Real Madrid changes a lot of things. Even though I’m free to do whatever I want at the moment, I won’t talk to the opponent or do things like that. I’m focused on winning against Real Madrid and I’ll try to make the difference. And then we’ll see what happens,” Mbappé said on Amazon Prime France.

In addition to Mbappé, Danilo Pereira (10th/51st), Presnel Kimbembe (32nd) and Lionel Messi (38th) scored for Paris. The club is well ahead of Olympique Marseille with 43 points after the 23rd Match day of Ligue 1 with 56 points.
