Leeds set to sign £13m Bayern Munchen star

Leeds United are set to sign, Marc Roca, from Bayern Munich, according to a report.

Spanish outlet, Marca, claim that Leeds are set to pay around £13 million for the 25-year-old Spanish midfielder.

Unlike previous transfer windows, those in the Elland Road boardroom have been pretty busy in this current transfer market.

RB Salzburg duo, Brenden Aaronson and Rasmus Kristensen, have walked through the club’s doors before the transfer window officially opened on Friday.

And now Jesse Marsch could add a Bayern Munich defensive talent to his ranks to make it three for the 2022 summer transfer window

Spanish outlet Marca did add that Roca will have a ‘leading role’ at Leeds and is a signing requested from Marsch himself

The bad news for Leeds fans is that he is going to be seen as the replacement for Kalvin Phillips.

The England midfielder is being tipped to join Manchester City, with Pep Guardiola looking to strengthen his midfield following Fernandinho’s departure.

Of course, the Leeds faithful will be glad to hear that a new name will be arriving on their shores.

But they don’t want it to be in a situation where Phillips heads for the exit door because that would be a body blow to the club.

Dubbed the ‘Yorkshire Pirlo’, Phillips has become one of the most important and popular figures at Leeds and with the fans.

And his possible exit won’t be easy to take, that’s for sure.
