Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United have now been linked with Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins.
The report has claimed that United have watched the England international striker in action.
The former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners are on the hunt for a new striker this summer, according to the report.
Watkins is reportedly in talks with Villa over a new deal.
Manchester United could be able to sign Ollie Watkins from Premier League rivals Aston Villa in the summer transfer window.
After all, United are arguably the biggest club of England, and a move to Old Trafford from Villa Park would be a step-up for the £75,000-a-week (Spotrac) Watkins.
The 27-year-old striker could find it hard to turn down the chance to play for United and lead their line in quest for Premier League and UEFA Champions League success in the coming years.
Now, of course, Villa would not be too willing to sell one of their best players, but money talks.
If United offer Villa a very good transfer fee, then the Villans are unlikely to reject it.
The 27-year-old made 36 starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for Villa last season.
Watkins scored 15 goals and gave six assists in those games.
