Newcastle United are reportedly looking for a way to sign Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, a priority target for Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal earlier this year in the summer transfer window.
According to CalcioMercatoWeb, Vlahovic, who has ‘appeared isolated’ so far this season despite six goals in his first ten matches in the Serie A, could be the subject of bids up to £100 million from the Gunners, Chelsea and now Newcastle.
Vlahovic became a household name after his incredible goalscoring record with his previous club Fiorentina when he found the net 38 times across two Serie A seasons.
CMW believe that there ‘should be concrete interest’ from the Magpies, who spent a club-record fee for Swedish striker Alexander Isak in the summer transfer window and have had Callum Wilson’s form find himself at the World Cup in the 26-man England squad.
CMW continue to say that Eddie Howe’s side ‘dream of buying’ the 22-year-old but only if they can reach automatic Champions League qualification come the end of the season.
