RANGERS WANT TO BRING £1.5M TALENT TO IBROX

Rangers want to sign Bolton Wanderers star Oladapo Afolayan this summer and have already asked about his availability.

That’s according to The Sun’s Alan Nixon, who claims that Rangers are eyeing up a summer deal for Afolayan.

Rangers have lost the league title back to Celtic but are into the Europa League final.

It’s been a mixed season for the Gers but it could end in glory if Rangers can see off Eintracht Frankfurt in a matter of days

Rangers have been disappointing in recent transfer window and need to start adding first-team quality.

Afolayan is now the latest name to be linked with Rangers as Ross Wilson looks towards the English market.

Nixon claims that Rangers have been scouting Afolayan ahead of potential launching a move this summer.

Rangers have allegedly asked about Afolayan’s availability and he is seemingly rated at around £1.5million.

Afolayan my be viewed as a replacement for Kent or even just to bolster Rangers’ wide options with Amad Diallo heading back to Manchester United.

Afolayan, 24, has racked up 12 goals and eight assists in 44 League One games this season.

Formerly of non-league side Solihull Moors, Afolayan was snapped up by West Ham United back in 2018.

Afolayan couldn’t make the breakthrough at West Ham and joined Bolton permanently last summerafter a strong loan spell.

Signing Afolayan for just £1.5million may therefore appeal to Rangers, who will be looking some bargains this summer.
