Tottenham interested in £12m star Europa League winner

Spurs will be looking to the future with positivity following their positive steps towards Champions League qualification made in the past week following their wins over Arsenal and Burnley. This will mean that Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici will be able to secure bigger names in the summer transfer window, but who are they looking at?

Europa League winner eyed once again

When Spurs were looking for wing-back options in January, a name which emerged was that of Frankfurt’s Serbian wide man Filip Kostic, who has been in superb form this season. They did not secure a deal then, but following last night’s win for Frankfurt against Rangers in the Europa League final rumours have resurfaced.

The 29-year-old showed all of his skills in a lung-busting display at left wing-back, displaying the crossing skills which have marked him out as a target of big clubs in recent years with an assist for Rafael Borre’s equaliser. The Independent report that the £12million man is back on the radar for Spurs following his displays throughout his club’s run to the final.

He has 15 assists from the left wing this season and would be an experienced option as the club look to prepare for what could be their first season in the Champions League since 2019/20. He has also scored eight goals, including three over two legs against Barcelona in the Europa League quarter finals – plus a penalty in the shootout win over Rangers.
