AC Milan convinced to sign USMNT star that shined in World Cup

The AC Milan management have been able to watch Sergino Dest’s performances at the World Cup with a smile as he shone for the USA.

Ultimately the United States suffered elimination in the round of 16 against the Netherlands, but he had a very positive World Cup where he played all four matches played as a starter and demonstrated his abilities as an attacking full-back.

According to Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews), Stefano Pioli and the Milan staff hope to get back a player who is in a better state of form and take full advantage of his capabilities in the second part of the season.

The paper also mentioned a possible investment at the end of the season because if things go well between now and next June, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara would have to pay out €20m for a permanent transfer, the price set in August as part of the loan agreement with Barcelona.
