AC Milan to make a loan offer for Premier League star
French outlet Foot Mercato has reported that AC Milan could offer a loan with an option to buy for Newcastle United winger, Allan Saint-Maximin.
AC MILAN TO OFFER LOAN WITH OPTION TO BUY OFFER FOR SAINT-MAXIMIN
The French wide forward has endured a difficult season at Eddie Howe’s side.
For a majority of the 2022/2023 campaign, the trickster has largely been injured, with hamstring and muscle problems stopping him in his tracks.
With Howe showing a preference towards fielding Jacob Murphy and Joelinton as his go-to left wingers, AC Milan seem to be exploring the chance to sign Allan Saint-Maximin, as a loan with an option to buy could well be their proposal.
The report also mentions that an offer could be placed by the Serie A champions as soon as in the next 48 hours.
While Stefano Pioli’s side had expected a quiet January window, a poor string of recent results, which includes a 5-game winless results has forced the club to look into bolstering their attack.
Despite the knowledge that their chances of winning Serie A are virtually non-existent, Milan aim to bolster their side ahead of the return of the Champions League.
As a result, AC Milan are considering a loan swoop with an option to buy for Allan Saint-Maximin and that too, with an offer potentially in place in the next 48 hours.
Sure, a loan stint at AC Milan where he impresses would entice Allan Saint-Maximin, labeled as ‘outstanding’ by Micah Richards (via Sky Sports) who has become a bench option at Newcastle.
But the Magpies perhaps boast of the most exciting project in world football.
Keeping that in mind, the £92,000-a-week wide forward must find a way to reclaim his place in the side, to ensure that he is at the front and centre of a club that could sweep away a majority of the major honours in a few years’ time.
