Crystal Palace agree terms to sign Viera’s top January target

Foot Mercato have reported that Crystal Palace have reached an agreement to sign French U-18 international, Naouirou Ahamada in January.

Going by the Premier League table, Patrick Vieira’s side have not shown much improvement after their 12th place finish last season, as they are sitting in the same position currently.

As a result, one can understand why Crystal Palace were seemingly keen on adding Naouirou Ahamada to bolster their squad in January, as it has been claimed that an agreement has been reached.

The VfB Stuttgart starlet is a defensive midfielder by trade and at just 20 years of age, starts regularly for the Bundesliga side.

Starting all 16 league games for the side, he has been a rare positive for them in a campaign where they are currently battling relegation in 16th place.

Keeping that in mind, one can understand why Palace felt it was the perfect opportunity to wrap up a deal for the Frenchman.

Considering the Eagles lack depth in midfield, with regular starter, Jeffrey Schlupp certainly being upgradable, fresh faces are needed and badly.

Instead of waiting for the summer to strengthen their roster with reinforcements, the South Londoners seemed to have taken action like any ambitious side should.

According to a new report by Foot Mercato, Naouirou Ahamada is set to join Crystal Palace in January, with an agreement believed to have been reached to complete the deal.

However, a fee is yet to be disclosed.

It is also believed that both Palace and Patrick Vieira were ‘hot on the heels’ of the former Juventus prodigy, as they prepare to finish the second half of the season strongly.

Well, if that well and truly is the case, striking an agreement to sign Naouirou Ahamada in the January transfer window could be a low-key, yet smart signing from Crystal Palace.
