Manchester City to spend crazy money on Milan superstar as contacts started

Manchester City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak claims the Premier League champions will keep spending despite splashing out £51million on Erling Haaland.

Man City are also bringing highly-rated Argentinian Julian Alvarez back early from a loan deal, and want at least two more signings to bolster Pep Guardiola’s options. The title holders want a midfield replacement for the departing Fernandinho and a full-back with Oleksandr Zinchenko tipped to leave as well.

City are determined to build from a position of strength to maintain their Premier League supremacy and keep ahead of rivals Liverpool and Chelsea. Mirror Sport has the latest transfer updates on City’s summer plans from across the media…

Foot Mercato’s Santi Aouna claims City have made contact with super agent Jorge Mendes over a move for AC Milan star Rafael Leao. The report claims City opened dialogue with Mendes a few weeks ago over the possibility of prising the Portuguese away from the San Siro.

Leao is attracting growing attention after scoring 14 goals and making 12 assists to help Milan end their 11-year title wait. Milan have offered him new terms, but are not said to be confident of hanging on to one of their most-prized assets. Leao, 22, has also caught Real Madrid’s eye and it is understood he would be interested in joining them given the chance.
