Real Madrid are La Liga champions for the 35th time.
Carlo Ancelotti‘s side mathematically secured Spanish football’s biggest prize last Saturday with a 4-0 home win over Espanyol.
A brace from Rodrygo Goes in the first half and strikes from Marco Asensio and Karim Benzema after the restart earned Los Blancos the points they required.
It was yet another convincing performance by them and they were also able to rest key players ahead of their Champions League semi-final second leg versus Manchester City.
But despite the fact they will be playing the biggest game of their 2021/22 season on Wednesday, Real Madrid still celebrated their La Liga triumph in style.
The players and staff performed a lap of honour around the Santiago Bernabeu on an open-top bus, with thousands of fans flocking to the stadium in order to get a glimpse of their heroes.
And during the celebrations, Ancelotti decided to pull a classic prank on the team’s talisman Benzema.

The oldest trick in the book – and Benzema fell for it!
Ancelotti really is a manager that is impossible to dislike and he’ll go down as one of the greatest to have ever sat in the dugout.
The Italian icon is the first man in history to win La Liga, the Premier League, Serie A, Ligue 1 and the Bundesliga, which is a quite extraordinary achievement.
Ancelotti has now won 23 trophies overall as a manager. He’s just two behind Jose Mourinho‘s total and eight short of Pep Guardiola.
There’s certainly a chance for Ancelotti to make it 24 this season as well, although his Real Madrid side will have to overturn their 4-3 deficit against City at the Bernabeu.
The Premier League outfit are the heavy favourites to reach a second consecutive final, but when it comes to the Champions League, you can simply never rule out the 13-time winners.
