Nottingham Forest consider move for Chelsea striker

Nottingham Forest are understood to be considering a move for Chelsea striker Armando Broja following promotion to the Premier League.

Broja spent last season on loan at Southampton and enjoyed an excellent spell before tailing off in the final weeks off the campaign, scoring six goals and registering one assist in 32 appearances.

The 20-year-old is a quick and powerful number nine who is highly rated at Stamford Bridge and has been linked with Everton and West Ham in recent days.

With four years left on his contract, Chelsea are unlikely to sell with Forest far more likely to push for a loan deal if they do move. The Reds will count on manager Steve Cooper’s excellent reputation for developing young talent and will be able to point to the progress of Djed Spence and James Garner this season during their loan spells.
